Consumer law has been designed by the government to protect the consumers. In other words the consumer law or rights that exist protect consumer’s safety and public health. You will find that the consumer organizations have been formed to help consumers make better choices in the products they buy. Let’s look at a recent example for a moment. With trade in China many toys have come in with lead paint. This concerns the consumers as lead paint has been found to be detrimental to health. In the US regulations against the use of lead paint have been created. So for consumer law in the United States that importation of lead based products goes against the consumer laws of safety and public health. The items have of course been recalled based on the consumer law.

A living will, also called will to live, is one type of advanced health care system, or advanced health care principle. It often goes along with a specific type of power of attorney. These are legal tools that are usually witnessed or notarized.
A living will usually covers specific directions as to the course of treatment that is to be taken by caregivers, or, in particular, in some cases denying treatment and sometimes also food and water, should the patient be unable to give conscious consent (”individual health care instruction”) due to illness.
A power of attorney for health care, appoints an individual (a proxy) to give health care decisions should the patient be unable to do so.

“The 2007 median price for an existing home likely will decline 0.7 percent to $220,300, the first drop since the real estate trade group began keeping records in 1968 and probably the first decline since the Great Depression,” said Lawrence Yun, an economist with the Chicago-based association

Provisional Utility Patents
Provisional utility patents are common for inventors who need a quick patent, but do not have time to wait for a regular one. By filing a provisional patent, the invention is granted a “temporary” patent until a more detailed application can be filed.
A provisional patent application is seen as the low budget version of the patent process. It is usually carried out by companies or inventors wanting to find a cheaper way to file a utility application with the Patents and Trademark Office. The reason many people prefer to file a provisional application is due to the fact that a provisional application can be used when an invention has to be altered or changed during the life of the invention, and it can decrease the amount of money spent during the patent process. The provisional application is also used by inventors to increase the number of years available on the patent. For these reasons, many people will file a provisional application rather than a regular patent application.

A living will is a legal document, which lets a patient decide whether or not to be kept on artificial life support. Often, these documents also appoint someone to take important health care decisions on behalf of the patient. A living will could be a very broad or a narrow document, prepared according to the wishes of the patient. The will is a living declaration of people’s wishes when they meet with serious accident or ailments. It is primarily directed to medical personnel about the type of care the patient wishes to have, or wishes not to have, under situations of terminal illness.
The document commonly includes the kinds of medical procedures that are usually administered to patients who are seriously ill. These may include transfusions of blood and blood products, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, diagnostic tests, dialysis, administration of drugs and surgeries.
