A managed care plan will be the best choice most likely because of the cost. HMO and PPO plans are the most used plans. They have doctors and medical clinics where they prefer that you go and will fully pay for. You will get all of these in a list to see what is out there.

If you like to have a greater choice of doctors then you will like the PPO (preferred provider organization) plan. It will pay a partial amount when you look for care outside of your regular network. They let you go to doctors when you need to, without having to get referred which is very nice. HMO (health maintenance organization) plans make you get referred by your primary care doctor and many people find this very annoying. These are the plans that will cost the least.

When it comes to expenses for these types of insurance you usually don't have much more to pay for other than the monthly premium. There isn't much or any deductible and the co-pays are small. If you look at exactly what will or will not be covered then you will be able to get all of the care that you are paying for.
