There are many advertisements that are out on the Internet that tell you that you can make up to $150 a day for taking surveys, some even suggest you make this amount of money by taking just one survey.

These sites make all sorts of unrealistic promises that you can make a living taking surveys by just doing several surveys a day. This would be very difficult to do!

From my personal experience being a participant with several survey companies, you rarely ever earn over $5 for the surveys that you take. Also many of these sites fail to mention that you can only take surveys that fit the profile you entered when signing up with the survey company.

If and when you do receive a survey to do you must first go through a qualification survey first and if you pass this survey then and only then are you eligible for the money making survey. If you do not qualify you are entered into a contest to when cash or prizes of an unknown nature.

For those individuals that do meet the survey qualifications and complete and actual survey, these people will generally receive a check in 6 - 8 weeks after completing the survey. This means you need to complete an a huge number of surveys daily in order to generate consistent cash flow 60 days after you've started taking surveys.

Also most survey sites do not pay cash for the surveys that you do, but instead enter you in drawing for supposedly large cash prizes.

From my own personal on-line research I have found large numbers of complaints posted on review and scam sites complain of the lack of payout even when they have completed a survey.

Though there are a number of legitimate survey sites out there they are not the cash cow that many people seem to think they are, and you need to be very careful with many survey sites that pop up since they are doing nothing more than collecting your personal information.

Therefor if your considering using surveys to generate extra cash.
